Listening.
Problem Solving.
In our time together, I want to cover what I consider essential so that you can make decisions that make sense for you to navigate the real life barriers to making change: deconflicting information, establishing sustainable habits, making informed choices in day to day life. Not only can this help you manage existing chronic disease, but it is also key to prevention and improving quality of life. Working with me will involve exploring some/all of these elements that I think are some of the most important for optimal long term health:
Gut/microbiome health
Metabolic health
Meeting vitamin and mineral needs
A diet rich in plants foods and polyphenols
Emphasizing quality in food choices
Attention to when and how you eat
-
A detailed initial meeting includes a deep dive into you, your health, your habits. We start to brainstorm about how you can better nourish yourself, support your body by providing what it needs to keep you going, manage chronic disease and prevent future illness. There is no one size fits all set of rules, but I can support you in gaining agency over your health by offering guidelines and by working with you to prioritize initial steps that can make a difference.
-
I learn a lot about you the first time we meet, but one visit is rarely enough. Follow ups allow me to support you as we learn from your efforts and continue to build a plan for you. Follow up visits are a combination of support as you adapt recommendations as needed, and covering new topics such as vitamin and mineral supplementation.
-
Let me come to your home and personalize our conversation even further: helping you get organized with your shopping and cooking, looking in your cupboards, learning how to prepare new food, strategizing your weekly planning and organization to support your goals, reviewing your supplements, and more.
*Note that home visits are only for existing clients.
